Tata Advanced Systems, in collaboration with Dassault Aviation, is set to manufacture Rafale fighter jet fuselages in Hyderabad. This marks the first time that Rafale fuselages will be produced outside France, highlighting India’s growing expertise in aerospace manufacturing.

The Hyderabad Facility & Production Plans

The newly planned Hyderabad facility will play a crucial role in India’s defense sector, with production expected to commence by FY2028. Once fully operational, the facility will manufacture up to two fuselages per month for the Rafale fighter jets, further strengthening India’s position as a global aerospace hub.

the company has signed four Production Transfer Agreements with Dassault Aviation, ensuring localized manufacturing of key structural components, including:

  • Central fuselage
  • Rear fuselage
  • Front fuselage

This partnership aligns with the Make in India initiative, boosting domestic aerospace capabilities and creating numerous job opportunities. With this agreement, India moves closer to becoming a major player in defense manufacturing, reducing reliance on imports while enhancing national security.
